    WWI LETTER REFLECTION

During the early 1900s when war broke out, there were many different views and opinions towards the First World War. Some thought that it was vital to fight for their country and to show how proud they were to live there. The world. Others didn’t think it was a smart idea or even worth the fight. There were also worries that women had for their families. How would they run a household on their own? How would they pay for food and bills? How would the factories run? Most men were excited though, to get out of work or school, and see the world. Once the solidest and nurses had gone off to war the women that were left went to work in the factories, they kept the world running. Having seen what has become of the front lines the men were horrified, the war wasn’t at all what it was cracked up to be. Some regretted signing up, some were angry that they were forced to go, but most were homesick and missed their families.
