The United States of America was not justified in it’s decision to use the atomic bomb on the Japanese cities of Hiroshima and Nagasaki because the Japanese wanted to surrender, Japan is willing to negotiate the end of the conflict, they were ready to end the war. It was a war crime because America had killed mass numbers of Japanese citizens who are innocent and didn’t deserved it. The weapons effects are unknown because people who had survived suffered from mental shocks and suffered from cancer from the destruction. These are the reasons why the US was not justified to use the atomic bomb on the Japanese cities of Hiroshima and Nagasaki.
Canada’s involvement with the Manhattan project and it’s development is that Canada has become a supplier of uranium for military purposes. We are also involved in research in producing and extracting plutonium in the Manhattan project. Canada’s government decided that all exports of uranium and other nuclear materials would be for peaceful services only. This impacts Canada’s identity by making us look like destroyers and helping out a war crime.
