Was America justified or unjustified?

I think that America was not justified for the bombing on the cities of Hiroshima and Nagasaki. I believe this because they targeted innocent citizens of these cities of which did nothing to enflict punishment to the prisoners of war like their military had done. I see that America wanted to prove its power, but there were other ways this could’ve been accomplished. For one, the bomb could have been demonstrated to the Japanese leaders to scare them into surrendering. Another way America could have gotten them to surrender would be to tell them when they were going to drop the bomb to give them a certain amount of time to make up their minds. I’m sure the surrender would have been accomplished with that. So there are two ways that the pain enflicted and is still being enflicted could’ve have been avoided. As well as why it was wrong for America to bomb innocent citizens when it was the military’s fault. (there are many things missing form your post. remember the SEE method.
