I think the most important event that happened in Canada was the Vimy ridge.The battle at Vimy Ridge was one of the most successful battles of World War 1 and was the first time the four Canadian divisions fought all together. During World War I, one of Canada’s most memorable battles was the battle of Vimy Ridge. This was an important battle in Canadian history because it is thought of as the battle that made Canada mature. During the battle of Vimy, There were few Canadians and they had little support. Even with this disadvantage, they created a plan and went through with it. They were able to take over Vimy Ridge with some casualties. During vimy ridge it was the first time a tactic other then “over the top” was used..  In just 3 days the Canada managed to capture the stronghold a task that took the allies 3 years and still could not manage to achieve victory, this battle showed how strong and independent Canada is a country
