Candada 150 (the most impotent battle)

To me, the most important battle in Canada’s history is the battle of vimy ridge. the battle took place in WW1, from April 9-12 in 1917. the four Canadian corps fought together for the first time, capturing vimy ridge back from the German army. it was the biggest territorial advance in World War One, more then 10,000 Canadians where killed and injured in this four day battle in France. today, the Vimy Ridge Memorial stands as a grave for the over 11,ooo Canadian soldiers who have unmarked graves/ where not buried in france during the battle. the memorial is seen as the birth of Canadian pride and awareness, and it is the most celebrated memorial in Canada.
