I believe that the most significant event for Canada was the battle of Vimy Ridge. The battle of Vimy Ridge took place on April 9th 1917 and ended April 12th 1917 and consisted of Canada, United Kingdom and the German Empire. The battle of Vimy Ridge was Canada’s defying moment as a whole. The Vimy attack took a lot of planning in order for the attack to run as planned, and many Canadian soldiers did lots of training to also make the attack successful. On the night of April 12th 1917, the Chadian troops were in firm control of the Ridge. 10 602 casualties: 3 598 killed and 7 004 wounded. This is why I believe Vimy Ridge was the most significant battle for Canada.
