Why did you choose the items you did when you creating your collage?
I choose the items for my collage because I think they best represent what Canadian identity is and how I am apart of Canada and what Canada is as a country and the good food we have and all the tourist attraction we have. For example we have the Rocky Mountain and the CN Tower which is huge for Canada and the Food we are known for our Maple Syrup and our beaver tails and all the sports we have. Canada is Big for their Music we have a lot for all for the older bands and newer band coming alive in Canada. For Example Rush, Trooper, Triumph, Steppenwolf, Nickelback are some of the biggest bands in Canada. I also added the Land Caster Bomber into my Collage because there were 430 made in Ontario.
How do those items reflect the Canadian Identity we discussed in class?
The items reflect The Canadian Identity because there are parts in the collage of my parent’s background like Irish, British, Scottish, French, and North American Indians and my Canadian Part of it. There are different food from the countries and different tourist attractions from those Country also and different words they speak too. I also have the flags to represent where I am from.
Which items are a representation of who you are and how you fit into the Canadian identity?
The items that representation who I am would be all of them because they all have some meaning behind them and how I fit into the Canadian identity. However the one that representation me the best would be the two RUSH ones because Rush is a Big part of my life and Canadian identity and I have the connection with their music and the faxed the Neil when to Churchill is pretty Awesome and Rush was my second Concert and it was sadly my last RUSH Concert. I fit into the Canadian identity because my background has a wide reified were I come from.
