World War One Reflection Question

Canada might view the same event in different ways based upon different factors and experiences in there lives. For example when world war 1 had began many Canadian immigrants maybe felt very deterred and nervous because they left their war torn countries for a better life and more opportunities and now there new country is being pulled into war. Other immigrants could not feel a scence of urgency and duty to fight for Canada simply because that is not were they were born, and they have no need too. French Canadians feel no need to fight because they think the battle is not needed for Canada. (why is that?) And English Canadians could feel patriotic and excited because this is the time were Canadians can show that they can stand on there own and show there values to the mother charter, and show Canada is its own country. Another significant event was when women got to vote for weather conscription for the war would be legal. To vote would be woman who only had a relative in the war, and by women was only meant for Caucasian women. Women who never got the right to vote could be angry at his because they could view all women equal. Why is she more special or privileged than other women? or why is it so selective for that matter? Women of colour could feel the same way. They could of seen this as a chance for woman of colour (excellent point! ) to hear their voices while there male loved ones are off at war but was never gifted that chance for most likely the colour of there skin. And even the First Nation and Native people never got the second thought of them being allowed to vote. It definitely puts a strain on Canada as a whole.

It’s events in history like this can put people’s thoughts in different perspective. It could be process in ways that only the person processing it could understand. Weather it be immigrants, English Canadians, french Canadians, woman of colour, women who don’t get to vote and women who do. We all process the same events in different feelings and perspective but we all go through the same thing. The Events. (some areas need expanding and a likttle clarification before publishing)
