In my opinion I think Canada was neither good or bad to live in after World War 2 good for some but not for all. I think this because Canada accepted immigrants they were struggling finding
people for jobs many immigrants found jobs that no one else wanted such as farmers, loggers etc immigrants filled those jobs. Asian Canadians needed jobs as well as Canadians needed workers so it worked out. After World War 2 Asian Canadians got the right to vote, and minority’s a place to work . Different cultures were given the right to vote which was a major upgrade from the past. But also Canadians tried to deport a bunch of people to Japan which was a downfall. In 1946 Woman got the right to vote also woman got privileges in the work force working jobs like factories, ship yards and farming ,which is pretty hard labour. The downfall of that was woman still weren’t getting treated the same respect as men even though they started to get rights. Another downfall about Canada’s society after World War 2 was families weren’t allowed to immigrate if a male was working in Canada. Japanese also weren’t allowed to immigrate till 1967,Although Canada was neither the best or worst to live in all these changes makes what Canada is today. Canada is now a free country welcoming any culture.
