The United States of America was justified in its use of the Atomic Bomb on the cities of Hiroshima and Nagasaki.
The United States had two options, drop the bombs or invade the Japaneses home land where the Japanese were ready to defend and fight to the death. The Emperor of Japan was from a Samurai decent which means he will fight to the death for his country but this would mean for Truman to drop the bombs also he did not want to invade Japan because he didn’t want to lose the estimated 1 000 000 lives of American troops. If you think about it dropping the bombs also saved an estimated 10 000 000 lives of Japanese troops because America didn’t they would of had to invade Japan.
But remember America wasn’t the one that started it with the bombs, the Japanese bombed Pearl Harbour which caused America to be upset with them there was no way that they weren’t going to bomb Hiroshima and Nagasaki it wasn’t just to end the war but a bit of revenge.
From saving millions of lives to ending many the Japanese struck first but America ended I think it was a needed thing to end this war but if you think differently let me know i’m open to everyone’s opinion so let me know!
