many people were for and against conscription in ww1. The people for it thought it was a good idea because it would end the war faster because there was more soldiers fighting and the sooner everyone could come home to their family’s and friends. Also because if there loved ones had to go fight others should too. The reason people were against it was because they didn’t want there family to go fight in war because they may not come back or be injured.
