Conscription was a huge part of ww1 some people were for it some people were against it. It was a positive for some and negative for others. It was not good for farmers for example they were stripped from there farms and homes and lost there jobs too hard working men. It was both positive and negative for women were not aloud to work only men were aloud to only men were aloud to work all though the positive for women is they were aloud to take over there husbands job and provide for the family. When there husbands came back a lot of women kept there husbands job and this is how women start getting rights.
